Mooldhan is the Hindi word for “capital”. Within the context of rural development, Micro credit systems have grown in popularity as a tool for empowerment of the people.
It can be defined as the provision of parsimony, credit and other financial services and products of very small amount to people of low income in rural, semi-urban and urban areas for enabling them to raise their income levels and improve living standards.
A Micro credit and saving system started by the TGG Foundation with the participation of its self help group, social enterprises and the members of the trust on the 1st October 2016 with an aim to create saving habits.
Self Help Group supported by TGG Foundation can obtain interest free loans for starting various income generating activities from 1st July 2017. We will update you regarding its impact as we have more data available.
