TGG FOUNDATION

TGG Foundation is a self-sustaining, not-for-profit, registered Public Charitable Trust, recognised under Section 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act and certified by the Ministry of Home Affairs for FCRA. As a member of Niti Ayog (DARPAN) and a GuideStar India-certified organization for transparency, the Foundation ensures that 100% of its donations directly benefit its beneficiaries. Founded on the values of the TGG Family, its seed funding was contributed by its trustees as interest-free loans with a 10-year moratorium.

Groundwork started on January 14, 2012, and registered as a public charitable trust in August 2014, TGG Foundation envisions a world of empowered communities that equitably manage resources without harming biodiversity, ensuring sustainability for future generations. The Foundation operates without government subsidies or external grants for daily operations, relying instead on income-generating activities and work contributions from volunteers and trustees.

TGG Foundation’s mission is to foster sustainable rural development through human transformation under the “Responsible Human Mission.” Guided by the philosophy of “Oneness of One World,” it promotes empathy, compassion, and equality. The People-Planet-Partnership (PPP) model drives its efforts, blending community engagement with environmental responsibility. Core values include transparency, accountability, and a commitment to equality and zero waste, ensuring sustainable and inclusive development.

FINANCIAL TRANSPARANCY & ACCOUNTABILITY

TGG Foundation accepts donations/payments with a trace (Trackable) record. We do not accept cash donations. All other activity transactions are supported by a receipt or a voucher.

Our accounts are audited by Internal & external auditors regularly from time to time. We have been filing audit returns from the first year of the registration of the Foundation. Most of our project details including their financials are available through the impact page. Other funding details and balance sheets are available on the Funding & Monitoring page.

All projects and activities are approved by the Chairman in consultation with other members of the Governing body based on the expert advise received from the Monitoring Committee. The Chairman, in his absence can delegate the responsibility to other members of the Governing body to sign the document on his/her behalf. All such authorizations are duly signed and stamped by the Chairman and is entered in the minutes of the meeting.

Based on the feedback received from the RHM Members, policy matters are framed/amended by the Monitoring Committee, and it is approved by the Board of Trustees and signed by the Chairman to make it effective. These formation/amendments are communicated through this website.

Except the Chairman, nobody is authorized to deal in any financial instruments on behalf of TGG Foundation, all payments are to be made directly to the bank account of TGG Foundation and all disbursements are to be approved by the Chairman.

From 1st April 2024, all projects are handled by the Monitoring Committee. Donations are utilized for the respective projects and its execution purpose including the professional charges paid to the members of the Monitoring Committee & Project heads. Their tenure is based on project, and it ends along with the project.

All administrative expenses of the foundation are met by TGG Foundation through various income generating activities.

S.V. Laiju -Chairman & Secretary

Laiju, the Settlor and Managing Trustee of TGG Foundation, is the Chairman & Secretary in the Governing Body. The word TGG stands for The Golden Greens, a consulting firm registered in Bangalore & owned by Laiju that has done the seed funding in the form of an Interest free loan to start the activities of TGG Foundation. TGG embraces both his expertise and passion in planning and implementing various rural development projects leading its natural way for Laiju and his wife Namitha to establish the TGG Foundation Charitable Trust in 2014 in Wayanad, with the aim of creating a more sustainable world.  As a Chief Functionary, Laiju is responsible for developing a strong global family of responsible humans to perform collective actions that are for global good.

Namitha Laiju – Treasurer

Namitha, the Co-Founder & Trustee of TGG Foundation, is the Treasurer in the Governing Body. She has the capability to efficiently handle the administration and accounts. She also takes care of the people visiting the RHM Center. Namitha has profound expertise in financial management with strong interpersonal skills. During the span of her career, she had competently worked with organizations such as The Terraces, a boutique resort in the Himalayas, The Blue Mountain Estate, Nilgiris as an Account Executive. Presently she is working as an Administrative Executive of The Golden Greens. As a Treasurer of TGG Foundation, Namitha is also focusing on creating sustainable income-generating opportunities for all the members of TGG Family and keeps a close check on all financial aspects of the trust.


JOURNEY WITH TGG

Sonal Karamchandani

Sonal, a Singapore Citizen and a member of TGG Family since 2016, is currently based in Thailand. In the 2024-25 fiscal year, she will concentrate on Social Projects, including TGG Aid and will conduct healing programs at the Holistic Experiential Learning Program, enhancing her societal impact.

Premkumar K

Premkumar, an Indian Citizen and a member of TGG Family since 2016, is based in Kerala. In the financial year 2024-25, his focus will be on fundraising to support the development of the volunteer’s accommodation at the RHM Center in Wayanad.

Reetha Premkumar

Reetha, an Indian Citizen and a member of TGG Family since 2016, is based in Kerala. In the financial year 2024-25, she will be coordinating the Knowledge Bank project to ensure that the academic and non-academic books are made available to participants visiting RHM Center

Amruth Mohan

An Indian Citizen based in Karnataka, Amruth, a Chartered Accountant by Profession, he provides startup support to the members of TGG Family and provides advisory services to TGG Foundation.

Nigil Laiju

An Indian citizen based in Canada, Nigil, a B-tech graduate with PG in Design Integration provides handholding support to students through RHM Club and offers training on AI.
